My name is Courtney Cottrell and I’m a junior at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah. I grew up in Monterrey, Mexico and became very interested in social problems and health during high school. I’m majoring in Public Health – Health Promotion. I love cooking and have been taking chronic disease, nutrition, and physiology classes, so when I was assigned to write a health blog for my Technology in Health class, I decided to write about preventing chronic disease through nutrition and lifestyle. I hope to go on medical or nursing school after I get my degree in public health.
